What is CertifiedEmail?

CertifiedEmail™ is a class of email used by accredited commercial, non-profit and government senders to provide an easy and reliable way for you to identify authentic email messages from them.

Unlike regular email, which virtually anyone can send – and which virtually anyone can fake – CertifiedEmail is available only to companies, non-profits or governmental agencies that meet a strict set of criteria defined by leading ISP’s and legal regulations and managed by Goodmail.

Completely free for consumers, Senders who’ve chosen to take the extra steps needed to send CertifiedEmail have their email messages marked with a blue ribbon envelope. This assures you that:

  1. The sender of the message is legitimate, and has been verified by Goodmail as the true owner of the brand being represented.
  2. You have an existing relationship with this sender, whether because of opting-in to the sender's email or because you are an existing customer.
  3. The sender of the message meets strict standards set by partner mailbox providers, including maintaining very low spam complaint rates.
